Optimization of modified QuEChERS method for extraction of selected pharmaceuticals from vegetable samples using HPLC

 ABSTRACT. Optimized QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe) method of sample preparation was employed for five selected pharmaceutical compounds on its advantage simplicity, less extraction solvent time. Different parameters affecting the efficiency target analyte optimized. Since developed pesticides, uses pharmaceuticals need modification evaluation different parameters. Clean-up sorbents were evaluated their matrix effect removal after a combination d-SPE sorbent, MgSO4, PSA, C18 diatomaceous earth found to be selective clean-up sorbent targeted compounds. The addition amount EDTA during steps, respectively, also examined Solvent type composition, salt time optimized methanol, MgSO4 with NaCl 5 min obtained. successfully applied vegetable samples collected from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Johannesburg, South Africa (carrot, cabbage lettuce) none analytes in investigated. study very high that suppresses signal analysis.
